Gary Svoboda B.A. Sc., M.B.A - President

Gary Svoboda, B.A.Sc. (Electrical Engineering, U. of T., 1979), M.B.A. (University of Western Ontario 1983) is the Founder and President of Adventus Research Inc.

With 25 years of experience in market research and technology alignment studies, Mr. Svoboda has worked with hundreds of innovative companies and entrepreneurs launching new technologies, products and services. Prior to founding Adventus Research, Gary was Vice-President Market Research and Client Services at the Canadian Innovation Centre in Waterloo (CIC), where he established its market research consulting business.

Warren Gray B.B.A. - Senior Research Associate

Warren Gray, B.B.A. (University of New Brunswick) is Senior Associate at Adventus Research. Warren brings over 20 years of experience at two of Canada’s major banks, including 14 years of business and commercial banking, in both relationship management and business development roles. In addition, Warren more recently worked as a market research analyst at a competing firm, specializing in market due diligence projects.

Laura Walker – Research Associate

Laura Walker, B.A. (Carleton University) is an Associate with Adventus Research. Laura’s 14 years of experience include marketing, brand development and licensing of film and television properties, as well as, marketing and sales support for a major hardwood flooring manufacturer.  Laura’s professional affiliations have included Canadian Women in Communications and the Independent Filmmakers Co-op of Ottawa Film (Assistant Program Manager).

Cheryl Cameron – Research Associate

Cheryl Cameron, B.Sc., Microbiology (University of Guelph); M.B.A. (University of Toronto) has extensive experience in:  new product positioning and marketplace release - including selection of sales channels, management of sales processes, and after-sales customer support for revolutionary technologies in the medical diagnostic market. 

Her past positions include Director-National Accounts, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, and Technical Sales Representative, Baxter Corp. Microscan Division.

Louis Blais – Research Associate

Louis Blais, B.B.A. (Wilfrid Laurier University) is also an Associate at Adventus Research. Louis’ 15 years of experience includes working as a market research analyst at the Canadian Innovation Centre, as well as several other positions, primarily in marketing and sales. Louis is also fully bilingual, with both written and spoken French capability.
